Where do they come from?

The shape of the original object leads to the design.

Usually, the design comes from an interpretation of the shape.

So certain pieces, individual objects, lend themselves to being jaws, antennae or wings.

When I poke about in skips or junk heaps, I feel I'm putting back together creatures which once existed, but have now become dismembered, just waiting to be reassembled.

Old light bulbs, rusty starting plugs, paper clips, tin cans, plugs, ball bearings, nuts and bolts… they all become abdomens, wings, skeletons and stings.

All I do is put them back together.
